EPC Ratings in Haywards Heath, Brighton & Across Sussex
Enviromap
Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) form a large part of the property marketing solutions we provide to customers across Sussex. Introduced in England and Wales in 2007, EPCs show how energy efficient a given domestic property is. Following a formal assessment, your home is given an EPC rating from A to G. All Energy Performance Certificates are also expected to hold recommendations detailing the most cost-effective methods for improving your rating.
Here at Enviromap, we have fully-trained and qualified EPC assessors who operate across the whole of Sussex and the southern half of Surrey. This includes attending on our valued clients as far afield as Uckfield, Brighton, and beyond.
EPC Assessments and Ratings in Haywards Heath, Brighton & across Sussex
As professional EPC rating assessors covering Sussex and southern Surrey, we have much to offer our customers. Here is what you can expect from us…
Energy Performance Assessments
All our EPC assessments are carried out by a fully-qualified and accredited energy assessor. They will visit your property and conduct an inspection, examining key areas that contribute to energy-efficiency. These include double-glazed windows, boilers, hot water tanks, floor, loft, and cavity wall insulation, radiators, and more. Our EPC assessors use this information to calculate your EPC rating.
Energy Performance Calculations
We calculate your EPC rating using the Reduced Data Standard Assessment Procedure (RdSAP) set down in the Housing Act 2004. This is a simplified version of the Standard Assessment Procedure as is based on the Building Research Establishment’s Domestic Energy Model (BREDEM). This requires fewer data inputs allowing our qualified assessors to deliver a fast turnaround on their inspections.
Energy Performance Certificates
Once our calculations are complete, we produce an official Energy Performance Certificate for your property. This contains various details pertaining to the house, including its address, type (detached, semi-detached, terraced, and so on), and total floor area. The EPC also confirms the date of inspection, the date of certification, and a unique serial number for your records.
Energy Performance Certificate Rating Scale
Energy efficiency is rated on a scale from A to G, with most efficient homes having an A-rating, and the least efficient having a G-rating. The same scale is used to certify the environmental impact of a property due to its carbon dioxide emissions. The average EPC rating for a property in the UK is band D or E.
EPC recommendations

At Enviromap, we know that time is of the essence when compiling an information pack for your property. That is why we provide a same day turnaround on all EPC assessments.
